If it was the gray then you may have found your problem. The gray wire is from the Ignition fuse and puts power on the on/off switch. Turn the switch on and the W/BK wire energizes the system relay, puts power to the start relay and tells the ecm switched power is on. The gray wire also gives Tssm a signal.
disconnect right hand controls and see if gray is common to anything other than W/BK.
Look at the front brake switch, you said that you just put some apes on, did you wedge the brake lever when installing the brake master cylinder? The common issue with brake lights staying on especially after a bar job is that the little nipple at the end of the brake switch gets caught on the brake lever and breaks off leaving just the end of the rubber boot making the switch too short to engage the lever properly. This is mitigated by using a piece of zip tie refuse or heavy card stock to wedge the lever slightly open upon installation of the master cylinder, do not remove the wedge u til the master cylinder and the switch housing are fully installed and torqued.
That diagram did help some thanks on a few other little items that needed fixed
Thanks for the help, I checked the front switch the lever wasn't even touching the switch so I repositioned the lever now the brake light is off and working properly the only thing left is the CDI BOX my guess is the tail light is going through that box as soon as I get the box I'll get it put in and hopefully the tail light Will work. Thanks guys for all your help greatly appreciated.
