My 2000 1200 sporty is dying 15 min into riding and wont start up again until it has cooled off. Narrowed it down to the ignition system. I replaced the coil the other night and still has not solved the issue. I'm convinced it's the module at this point. (Also recently changed out the entire charging system so it's not that.)
I've got a 3 ohm dual fire coil. I'm a little confused about what my options are for a new module - I want something that doesn't require a new rotary cup or a "mechanical advance unit." As close to stock as possible. Just want to swap the part out as simply as possible. HD is back ordered till November for stock options. Any recommendations on what to buy? If it isn't obvious I only half know wtf I'm doing, but that's usually enough.
