I have a 2011 Dyna Wide Glide, I bought it at the beginning of October 2021 and I have had a lot of electrical issues. I think I have traced down and found the root cause and I am fixing it today, the rear tail lights wiring was worn bare, however I have had to replace fuses, battery, voltage regulator, each would work for about a week or two before the next thing failed, this was before I found the very frayed wires on the tail lights.
Now I am pretty sure the factory alarm has shorted out. Has anybody heard of this ? and if I buy a new alarm system does anybody have the directions on installing it myself? I have been searching for videos and haven't found anything much more than changing the pin (which I could never do for some reason
What makes you think the alarm is shorted out? You didn't describe what it does or doesn't do. Have you tried a new TSSM? It seems you like to buy parts before diagnosing, but start with the easy stuff.
