I am rewiring my 2001 FLTRI (road glide) engined build. Its in a FLHTUCI/Roadking frame.
I have chosen a
'ULTIMA' http://www.ultimaproducts.com/18-533.pdf KIT.
It's going well, but, I want to ask somebody 'out there' who knows, COIL: which wire is which.
The Ultima module and loom needs a positive wire to go into the coil. easy huh?
BUT which one is which?
ignition Kit is sourced and is next to be fitted when I get it!

ANY body out there got a circuit diagram, with the following parts----
Lights, Front and rear
Indicators (flasher unit etc)
Ignition
'Idiot lights' (high beam and indicators/oil/fuel)
horn
ECU/ECM for CARB. (I have a dyna one from 02/03- nobody can tell me which 'pin' is which)
I imagine ??? its very much a standard LOOM made up from a OEM circuit diagram???
Someone has done this before and has a picture of a diagram they made up that works. I can find lots of EVOs but nothing for an early twin cam...
There HAS to be a simple way to wire this bike up.
The Ultima #18-533 wiring system does NOT work. Over $200 down the tube in one attempt to hook up the battery. The instructions were REALLY simple but it seems, wrong. So wrong that the unit almost burst into flames!
SO: I have to start again and make what I have work. Lots of wire and connectors and virtually no experience of such things as making a loom from scratch/'Cutting down' a OEM loom or making one from a standard HD wiring diagram. I am going to photocopy my Clymer Manual Circuit diagram onto A3 paper tomorrow...maybe that's the best place to start.
