Electrical issues
Went for a 300 mile ride. Parked the bike and all was well. Get back on it today and:
Rode 2 miles to get gas. As I was slowing at a light, it quit. Started right back up. As I was slowing to pull into the station it quit again. Started right up.
Got back on the road and noticed the GPS map was several hundred feet behind where I actually was. Shut it down restarted the GPS, and my location was better but the bike icon had me way off the road.
Then noticed the speedometer was not working nor was the odometer. Tach was fine.
Check engine light came on.
Gave up and headed back home.
Then the self cancelling turn signals did not cancel.
Geeze! Where do I start looking for a problem or don't even try and bring it to a dealer?
Any suggestions would be appreciate

I have a 1998 Dyna Wide Glide . I put in a new head light because the stock light sucks so I put in a new brighter light . its a 5.75 LED voltage is 35 volts 45 watts and when I turn on the lights its switching from hi beam to low beam with out touching anything . plus the tail light goes off & on along with headlight going on & off. Now I can hear clicking down by starter or somewhere in that area at the same time the light go on & off .Any help would be sweet.
I'd check for codes first, since you can do it right away. I'd also check the connection for battery first.
Nothing against it, but never load tested a battery in my life. But before I load tested. I would put a meter on the bike, and rev it up. If it goes to 14.4, your charging is probably working.
I 'd throw it on a charger over night, cause I could do it, and walk away for the night. If problem goes away, need to figure out if battery or charging system. Then I suppose you could load test it. Or come back in a couple days, and see if it starts. Depends on much time you you got to work on this, and how eager you are. Or how many other bikes you got to ride.
But I'd check cables, codes, put volt meter on, today, then charge over night.
If it keeps starting, I doubt charging, battery, or even connections. Guessing something with boombox or whatever you have.

Not sure where you get a 35 volt LED light. If all the lights go on and off and the bike dies at the same time, Something is overloading the main circuit breaker. You might want to disconnect the headlight and see if the problem persists.
I am guessing his has a maxi fuse if he has a GPS, unless they went back to breaker. They stopped using breakers around 2002 or 2003.
If a fuse blows you know it, cause you have to put another fuse in.
