2015 FXDF, went for a ride with some friends today and as we were headed back home, bike just quit on me, no dash lights no head or taillight.
When you turn the ignition switch on, nothing.
Also speedo is froze at the speed I was traveling 68mph.
I swapped batteries with a known good battery, out of my 2009 FXDF. Voltage is 13.2 volts.
No Voltage to the 40 Amp fuse or the 2 15 amp fuses in the left side electrical panel, I have only had this bike for a few days and I'm waiting for a service manual from Parts Giant.
I hope someone can point me in the right direction,
Thanks
Thanks for the quick response, I have a 2009 dyna and I have a service manual for it, 2015 has the CAN--BUS system.
I do have the service manual for a Friend's 2015 Fat Boy Low, and I have searched the wiring and I believe I have a break in either the negative or positive wire to the 40 amp fuse,
Tomorrow I'm breaking out the ohmeter.

If you are not seeing 12V at the battery side of the 40 amp fuse you should check the battery cables, starter + and transmission ground lugs . You can find the manuals at this FB Site. go to files and type in the year
If voltage is not at the maxi fuse, but at the battery, need to check connections, crimps, are they clean. Need to find that last place with good power, and work from their. Even with a bad battery, if the battery has voltage, you should be able to follow voltage.
Manual from parts giant??? So not a factory manual???
Thanks folks, I have a Clymer manual for a softail, same year.
The wiring schematic looks the same in the maxi fuse area.
I have 2 batteries, from my 2009 the battery shows 13.1 volts, the one in the 2015 shows 13.2.
I did swap out the 2, both Start the running bike with a drop to about 10.5 and an immediate running engine.
I'm suspecting a broken terminal or wire failure.
keep it simple and not just throw parts at it
