Single Fire Coil

New DTT ignition, old single fire coil, that tested OK with my multi-meter. Got it installed bike fired up ran while I held the throttle open, when I let go to idle it died, would fire back up for a second, then die. After I let it sit for a few minutes, fired back up and stayed running with the throttle partially open, when I rolled off the throttle it died again. Is the coil getting warm and failing? Getting plenty of fuel.

I have the a/c off, can see it, getting plenty of fuel.

Here's what's weird, coil checks out OK, 3.2 ohms on the front and 3.4 ohms on the rear. Where the plug wire connect, 16.62,
no spark at the plugs however.

Timing good. Found the wire coming from the handlebars to the coil with a bad crimp. Coil was getting 12 volts intermittently.
No more band aids, bike will get a Moto-Gadget M unit/new harness this winter.
