Default TBW Mini Connector

Hopefully, somebody can help with this issue,
I have a 2023 Softail Standard. Removed the handlebars which carry all the internal wiring.

Like a dummy, I buggered up the TBW mini connector ( part # 692011620 ( male, with 6 female terminals (part # 69200307) ). The connector is white 3/4" long and about 3/8" wide and high. In other words, pretty small.
I tried to de-pin that connector by pushing thru the top front hole of each terminal with a safety pin but no luck. Then I tried a paper clip which worked and I was able to pull out a wire. Unfortunately, the "clip" which holds the terminal tightly in the connector broke, Same result on the other wires. (Definition of insanity).
Now, when I put the terminals back in the connector, of course, they wont snap into place cause there's no "clip" to hold them in tight.

Is there another way to de-pin these little pains?? Or, are they one-use units and I just buy a new connector ( about $7 ) and snap in the 6 wires. Certainly, won't break the bank.

Appreciate any insight.

Looks like you go through the large hole and push the tang from inside the contact. Pause the video at 36 seconds.

Vernal,
Thanks so much for all the info on these mini connectors.

Seems I was doing it correctly but instead of using an " extraction tool ", I used a paper clip. I think the issue with the "retention finger" is that it's so small and pretty delicate. The force needed to release it easily snaps the piece off. I suppose that doing it many times would give one a better idea of just how much force to use.

I'll just buy another connector and reassemble it.

Once again, thanks

Acky
