Hello All motorheads,
Been coming to this forum for years but first time posting. I am building a 93ci chopper for a while and I am at the wiring part. I put together and attached a PDF wiring diagram that I would love for some of the smarter minds here to review, critique or just fine tune. Its a shovel with dual plug heads. I have a HI-4 single fire ignition and will have two 3ohm single fire coils. All opinions are welcome.
I apologies if this is posted in the wrong spot.
Damn, that is about the most basic, stripped down wiring for a motorcycle as one can get. I only see one brake switch so I gather no front brake. Any, looks good to me.
headlight, brake light, ignition circuit with a kill switch and a push button on the starter. Looks good
Get ready for the debate on this one.... Regulator is on the wrong side of the breaker. Bike wiring needs to be protected from all power sources, the regulator is a power source.
Are you intentionally running your headlight on at all times when bike is running? Most prefer to be able to run it off the L terminal on the ignition switch.
Where's the horn? Needed for inspection around here.

Other than a couple of models in late `80s/early `90s, HD has put the regulator output wire on the output side of the breaker, or the output side of the fuse.
Cycle Electric instructions say to connect regulator to Silver (output side)stud on Main Breaker.
This is from a `05 Softail factory wiring diagram:

I do want to keep this all simple, no horn, no front brake switch, no turn signals or speedo. Its a chopper for weekend cruises. I have another bike for longer getaways. I wanted everything to go into a fuse box. I will use 12 awg wire from regulator to copper post on 30 amp breaker and copper post to battery. Then 12 awg from silver post of breaker to battery terminal on ignition switch. I will probably change most of the other wire to 16 awg. 14 might be to much.
