Almost...
I agree that they cannot be orange when illuminated as brake lights, but switching to a colored light source will allow you to run smoked or clear lenses, so you are not limited to running just red lenses.

It helps if you hit "Quote" so who ever reads your response has a reference to your answer.

Thanks for that. Still learning. Got the plug and play inserts from Custom Dynamics and while there also got the LED tail light with auxiliary turn signals so I'm all set.

Just checking back to say thanks Goose. Installed the R/B/T LED plug ins and a new LED center light with auxiliary turn signals it's very cool. The R/B/T's each came with two extra wires that needed routed back and connected to the tail and brake wires in the harness of the fender center light console but it was a simple task. Had to get the posi-taps of course for a few extra bucks and had to get their lenses with the shorter clip-in prongs. The stock lenses will go back in if you're real careful but it's tight and my fear was that they might pop out riding down the road and you really don't want to risk damaging the LED circuit boards so for a mere 8 bucks I got a pair of their lenses. Everything works great. Many thanks brother! Oh yeah, and thank you for your service.

You were correct bro the LED's were colored appropriately with the running and brake tabs red, and brake brighter of course, and the turn tabs amber. But I like everything in back being in red which is why I changed those stock amber lenses to red a while ago, so I stayed with the red lenses. I put the Plug and Play LED running/turn signal lights in the front with clear lenses. The running lights are white and the turn signals are amber. When you look closely it appears that each LED tab is dual color half white half amber. Everything works and looks great. Thanks again for your input and thank you for your service.
