Default Rear turn signals to running/brake

What all do I need to make my rear turn signals also be running and brake lights? And will any boost in amperage be needed? Bike is a 2008 FLSTF Fatboy, and as we all know, in their infinite wisdom HD made those to just be turn signals with the fender mounted lamp the lone running/brake light. When I recently fixed and painted my rear fender I saw some empty slots in the console behind the tail light assembly is that where the new stuff will plug in at?
Thanks,
sm

There are plug and play RTB modules on the market. Try Custom Dynamics and Biketronics, to name a couple. No extra power is needed.

Thanks. And what about the bulb housings assemblies? It just hit me that the current housings take the old school single contact standard push and twist bulb (1156 I think?) so will those need to be changed out? Sorry man, I can ride and do some other superficial stuff but electrical is not my thing.

Buy the Custom Dynamics 1156 LED lights and the Run/Brake/Turn module and you will be set. Might want to change the center light to LED also.

On my 04, which is similar, all it took was the plug and play diode block so current could not back drift in the opposite direction. Harley part.

Of course, you need the red lens if your signals are yellow.

And yes, adding three bulbs to the circuit is 3 times the load. Fuse can handle it. Now if most of your driving in city, the switches will take a hit.

My front micro in the lever housing is at number two. The pedal hydraulic one is number 3.

I replaced the center original brake light with a $15. LED bulb. That brought it to two times the load. Been OK for the last 30,000 miles.

The micro was a heavier rated micro from China man off eBay and the hydraulic was a lifetime warranty one from AutoZone. Think the call out was for an older Chevy.

Looked very similar .

And if you make them operate as brake lights you MUST change the lens to RED.
