2011 FLHTK security issues..

Went for a ride and had a problem with the security system.
Bike started fine, went about 20 miles, stopped for fuel..
Bike started fine, went about 3 blocks to meet a friend..
Shut bike off, dismounted and waited for him to finish his business..
After about 15 minutes or so he came out and we prepared to go
The fob is always on my belt when I ride..
I turned on the ignition. turn on the run button, waited for the fuel pump to pressurize/
Then when I hit the starter button nothing happened.
I noticed that the alarm lights were flashing as if the fob wasn't present...
I had change the battery last year and hadn't used it that much.
Bought a new battery. still no start. used friends battery which started his bike and still no start..
Using the PIN and the emergency sequence to bypass the fob, it started..
Thinking it was fixed (dumb) .. I shut it off and tried to start it again.. If fired up ok. so I shut it off again to put on my battle gear they make you wear to ride a motorcycle.. Then it would start again.. It would no let me use the bypass code again..
At this point I pulled the main fuse... then I guess I didn't wait long enough for it to reset as I couldn't get it going again..
Pulled the fuse again, sat down for about 10 minutes or so then replaced the fuse and it started..
Did not turn it off this time, only allowed a couple dumb moves a day.. LOL
Got ready and rode it straight home...
When I got home, I shut it off and restarted it.. no problem.. let it sit for a while.. restarted it no problem..
I seems to be ok now.. will know more in morning..

Does anyone know what might have happened and know how to fix it
I can't be doing this **** every time I try to go somewhere..
