Default Road Glide headlight upgrade? One Yellow?

Hey folks. I've been off of the forums here for a few years. Life, you know. But still riding as much as possible, even more now that my kids are all driving themselves places.
A few years ago I traded in what I had been riding for 13 years and bought a 21 RG Special. Been riding it for a few years, upgrading and customizing here and there, but lately I'm really thinking about changing out the headlights to a set up where one is amber. Not a lot of people do it around here but I've seen a couple and I like the look. Especially since I do run into occasional fog I'm thinking the amber might cut through it a little. I don't know, so here I am asking all of you... RGs with one amber headlight, yes and here's what you recommend, or no?

A long time ago one of the car magazines did a comparison test, there was not a difference between yellow and clear for the driver or rider in this case to see “through” fog, they were basically equal. But you would be seen coming from the other direction way better with the yellow or amber lens.
If I remember the rest correctly it was really ideal to get the fog lights as low as possible to illuminate under the mist.
something not really possible on our bikes compared to under a front bumper.

Good point. So maybe it's purely about the cool factor? I mean, they look good but maybe that's because they aren't on all of them.

Lots of road glides around here do it, but more for the "performance bagger" look im sure. I personally cant stand the look of two different headlights as it really F's with my OCD. To combat fog, I think the lower placement of the lights is more important than the color, that being said I have a friend who has regular white headlights and mounted two small Baja style yellow puck lights to his crash bars and with the flip of a switch can turn them on. They work pretty dam good being so low and pointing straight ahead.

Ive tried to test yellow vs clear for years with riding glasses and never could come to a conclusion of one seeming better than the other.

One yellow headlight looks great on a Road Glide and is functional in fog. Most guys run a clear bulb for the low beam and an amber bulb for the high beam. Just swap the high beam bulb to an amber LED, like from Custom Dynamics or a JW Speaker 2-stroke. It's a simple plug-and-play upgrade, no extra wiring. Go for it.
