Post Adding More Lighting

I want to add some more lighting to the rear and front of my '07 Electra Glide Standard. I see in the HD parts catalogue they indicate ''easy-to-install, the kit simply plugs into your existing wiring harness.'' When they indicate this, is it as easy as it sounds, that I would unplug the existing light and plug in the new one? Does it usually require splicing the wires, etc?

very seldom will you run across something of the HD brand that requires splicing wires. For the most part it's all plug and play, especially with lighting. gotta say that even though HD parts are more expensive, the convenience of plug and play goes a long way with me....
