Installing a new Headlamp Connector
The cable coming from under the gas tank has three wires - white, yellow and black. The old connector had the yellow and black hooked on to the connector and the third wire grounded to the headlamp. The white cable was not used.
The new connector has a three wires - black, red and green. I connected the black with the black and the red to the yellow. I left the white un-used (as it was before) and grounded the green. Does this sound about right?
What I find strange is why would all three cables be connected? I tried connecting all three and it worked. I'm just afraid it'll fry something. Should I even worry about grounding the green? Also, I disconnected the red and connected the green to the yellow and the light worked fine too. Now I'm really confused. Your help will be much appreciated. Thanks.
