Default Need help with passing lamps

Hey everyone! Need a little help. I just got back my passing lamps back from the powdercoater, assembled them and long and behold no illumination. Now the wires seem fine, fuse is ok, all connections are correct and my lights worked great until I got them reassembled. Is it possible that the oven from the powdercoater fried my wires even though the insulation looks fine. In all actuality they seem a little brittle. Also the manual says to connect the black wire connector the the side of the light with the indention. Now my grey wire is half grey and black and the black wire (ground????) is well, black. The grey wire has a black connector on the end so I guess I'm a little confused there. Should I replace the wires and if so does anyone know if Harley sells the replacement wires? Any help would be great. Oh by the way I have a 2005 RK Custom and added the auxilliary lights so I really dont know the harley part number. Catalog shows 69289-05. Thanks in advance!!!
