Question Stator wiring

Hi everyone, I'm a new member and I need some electrical advise. I have an 07 Heritage Classic. It had a vibration issue. I took the motor out, striped it down and sent the crank out. The only problem I came across in the disassembly was the stator wires. I marked one side of the wires and the plug so I could reassemble the same way. However one of the wires just would'nt pull out of the plug and I broke it. In messing with the wire I wiped off my markings on the plug, now I don't know which wires go where. Looking at the manual it shows three black wires coming from the stator and connecting to three black wires coming from the regulator. It does not put them in any order. My question is; all the wires on the stator look like they do the same thing. Supply power the the regulator. Does the order in which the three wires from the stator connect to the three wires from the regulator matter.
