Default Speedometer question

Hey everyone.. long time lurker, 1st time poster. I've got a '98 sporty 1200C. I want to swap out the factory speedo. I dont like the way its bolted on the clamp over the tank. i want to mount a smaller one w/a digital odo/trip it off to the side or on the bars, next to the clamp. I'm not sure which speedo will work or to get. I have zero knowledge about them.

Also, does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do with the stock riser block on my sporty custom.. there's a wiring harness "mess" under there and i would like to change out the risers for some aftermarkets.

You might want to consider a new set of bars with integrated risers as this would allow you to hide the wires in the bars ( this would clean up the mess ) As for a digital speedo/tach all in one take a look at the Dakota Digital line of products.
