Took the Fatboy out for a ride just to the store. Came out and she cranked right up, but cut it off to do something. When I tryed to start the second time, nothing. dont know if its the starter or battery. Got it home and tryed to jump it off, nothing. So im thinking it may be starter or Wire lose. Worked on cars alot but never a Harley but I want to learn. Should I take the battey out and see if its ok and then go from there. Its a 1999 Fatboy with 17000 miles. Oh by the way when I ture the ignition on all the lights come on as bright as normal. thanks....................chunky

One more question, how hard is it to push a Fatboy off to start it. Can it be done. I tryed but it sure does have a lot of compression. thanks
On you starter there's a trigger wire that comes from you starter relay. Check that wire. They will sometimes vibrate loose. It just pushes onto a tab on you starter housing.

Ok put the voltage meter on the battery and get 12.5 on the voltage meter which lets me know the battery is ok. What would be the next step to look for because it is acting like a wire is loss but finding the right wire is a very daunting task. Anyone have any ideas. thanks.............chunky
