..tip from an old electrician...

If you're trying to stuff anything through the bars you're already working too hard.

Instead try a very light string, like thread or fishing line even.
Attach a flexible weight to it, those little pull chains from light fixtures or ceiling fans works very well for this.
Then just drop it in one end and turn your bars as it falls through.
Once through, replace with a larger, more durable string like twine to pull your wires through.

Vacuuming works well too.
Bunch up a small rag or piece of foam, something that will "seal" as it travels through - tie a string to it and stuff it in one end.
Then, while vacuuming the other end, cup your hand over the end you stuffed the rag into to make a seal - just don't clamp down so tight the string can't travel... seal the vacuum end as well.

work smart, not hard.

LOL, most here are making an easy job way too hard.

Use a small piece of a baggie, tie it to some kite string, hold it to one end of the bars, take a shop vac and use a little duct tape to wrap around the end of the vacuum tube and the end of the bars then turn the vac on suction. just feed it the string on the other end and it will get sucked right thru. Take the kite string and tie it to some more stout cord about the same diameter and pull the cord back thru the bars and attach that to your wires. Pull the cord back through while you are pushing the wires in, in concert with the string. Feed and pull at the same time. Neither should be doing all the work. If you want take a little wire lube (you can get some at Lowes or Home Depot) and put it on the lead wire before feeding it into the bars. Just keep the wire assy from rubbing against the edges of the bar opening.

jam is right, work smart, not hard.
