Weed eater string always works.. It's rigid enough that it can be pushed all the way thru.. If you can't get it get some fishing like tie a nut on the end fish it thru a d tie the line to the trimmer string and fish it thru and tape ur wires to the trimmer string and bam done.. Just make sure u secure the wires to the string enough to hold thru the push pull process

Have you removed the outer sheathing from the harnesses? Are all your extensions staggered and soldered?
I've done several similar style Apes with sharp bends using beaded lighting pull chain. Several included the added wires for heated grips. The weed eater string sounds like a great method as well. I buy the longer (15") wire extension kits from NAMZ and the long throttle by wire harness so I can really stagger the soldered connections and don't have to have any plug connections in the bars. Remove all the exterior sheathing on the harnesses and pull it through using the beaded pull chain (or weed eater string). After I get the wires through the bottom of the bars I slide a piece of larger diameter heat shrink up over the bottom end of the bundle of wires into the bars to protect the wires where they come out of the bars. I haven't needed to use any lube but it would help.

Well I guess I have been extremely lucky as I have 9 years, 159,000 miles with two motor rebuilds on my 08 RK and the soldered connections in my Apes seem to be holding up well. I've even pulled everything out twice to replace failed heated grips.
