Default Momentary switch for air compressor

Hello all, I'm hoping someone with more knowledge than I on electronics can give me some help. I have an air compressor mounted to my bike from an air ride suspension that I used to use. I've since went back to the OEM shocks but left the compressor on my bike. I now use it to air up the seat bladder on my police solo seat. The 3 position momentary switch is mounted in a not so convenient location so I am looking to purchase a new switch and relocate it to the fairing cap next to the Accessory switch. Currently the system uses a toggle switch and I would prefer it to be a rocker switch. My question is how do I know what type of switch to buy? Is it a single pole or double pole switch? I assume that I need a "momentary-off-momentary" vs an "on-off-on" switch. I only want there to be a closed circuit when I am holding the switch in one of the two on position so that it immediately turns back to the off position as soon as I let go. I just don't know how to tell if it's a single or double pole switch. My second question is what size are the switch blanks in the fairing cap? I'd like to find something that looks fairly close to the HD switches. Thanks in advance for an assistance.

I might be easier to find 2 single pole, momentary switches. One for the seat, and one for the shocks and mount them in the fairing spots. Those might be available at Radio shack. Just check the amp ratings. How is the tubing plumbed so your not adding air to both the seat, and shocks at the same time?.,,

get you a piece of ABS plastic from a hobby shop. cut to fit your switch blank on your fairing cap then mount this switch in it.

It's not feeding both. I no longer have the air ride shocks on the bike. I have a set of Bitchin' Baggers shortened shocks using the factory airlines and hand pump for them. The air compressor is only feeding the seat bladder.

Then you don't need a momentary 'on-off-on', just go with any momentary switch, either push button or toggle type.

Radio Shack

Amazon

Unfortunately I do need an on-off-on switch. I did a little reading on the subject and what I need is a single pole, double throw switch. One "on" position will power up the air compressor to fill the seat bladder, the other "on" position with power the switched valve that then releases the air from the bladder. Thus allowing me to adjust the air pressure in the seat bladder on the fly just like you would with an air ride suspension system.
