Default Headlight Wiring Issue

I am going to change the headlight and passing auxillary lamps on my 1999 HD Ultra to halogen type and I'm having a hard time understanding the instructions I received at http://www,harley-davidson.com. Apparently the existing plug has to be 'cut' off and two new terminals attatched. After that, I'm completely lost. The new terminals plug into a housing that I assume plugs into into the new halogen headlight. What I can't understand is: does this plug contain the negative and positive terminals? Also a diagram or two would have been helpful.
