Turn Signal Gremlin
I installed 20" apes on my 2003 SERK, and now, ONLY when I apply BOTH the front and rear bake simultaneously the right turn signal comes on, and pressing them a second time turns it back off. It doesnt happen when only one brake is applied.
Im trying to figure out where the two circuits connect, and why both would affect it, because I didnt do anything to the rear brake circuit.
It does have bar mounted turn signals, too.

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. If it did not do this before you installed your new bars, then suspicion has to fall on the wiring work you did. Don't be fooled by the problem, as electrickery will find the easiest way to get around your bike. If there is a wiring error, or a damaged wire, it will go that way, just to put you off the scent. Check everything you did very carefully, both visually and for continuity.

Oh, I know for sure its because of the bar change, but im not sure how its happening. The regularity of it indicates that its not a damaged wire up inside the bars. Im thinking that I must have gotten a couple of the pins mixed up in the plugs when I put them back together. I had found a great labeled pic/schematic that Im trying to find again to reference mine, but the problem is that some of the jumpers didnt match factory color coding so I have to find my guide.
