Default Broken wire?

I bought a 2000 efi classic 1450. You run the bike and the check engine light comes on and you lose tach unless you hit the brakes the tach then jumps. Then the bike runs fine the next day. I washed it and again the problem comes back. When it runs fine the ECM threw codes, changed the cam and crank shaft sensors, changed the temp sensor. When it runs shitty it sounds likes its missing and it will not idle, backfires. Mechanic is looking for a broken wire or a bad ground anything else it could be bad ...maybe a bad TPS . Bike has been in the shop for 2weeks and the summer is fading

Sounds like a shakey connection, probably in the ignition circuit. Start wiggling connectiors..

Thanks, nhrider1 I went through and hit all the plugs with di-electric grease, it might have taken care of the problem

The former owner dragged the bike from NH on a open trailer, no cover in the middle of Feb through the snow and road salt. Just had to chew the guys *** out for being a HD owner and treating the bike like ****. Spent 4 hrs cleaning the bike in Feb in the UP in our garage, so I figured I would have corrosion and electrical problems
