With the later closing intake event on the .510, the low-mid torque will be toast, and in a heavy bike, it'll only take a few miles, of fanning the clutch lever, and gear shifter, to become painfully aware of the fact that the OE cam had more power, in the low-mid range.
The .509 was designed to be a plug/play in an 88", where torque is needed, and we've seen 92-94 ft/lbs from those once tuned.

Thanks for chiming in - and what you write makes sense to me, with the huge split on those cams I can see that they are going to be high RPM cams. Frankly the big split on the 509 seems a bit odd to me - admittedly I am not a Harley cam expert by any means but I'd think such a big split would be crutching a weak exhaust flow, and to my knowledge, the Harley exhaust flow is good?
Anyway, thanks for your thoughts. Do you guys offer a mail order cam package with all you need to install the cams?

We do have complete kits ready to ship to allow an easy install.

Do you also offer the Andrews cam kit? Any thoughts on that? The specs on that cam with a bit more intake duration and less exhaust duration seem good to me.
But I'd trust you experience. I will look on your website for a cam package kit.
