The .509 was designed to be a plug/play in an 88", where torque is needed, and we've seen 92-94 ft/lbs from those once tuned.

Thanks for chiming in - and what you write makes sense to me, with the huge split on those cams I can see that they are going to be high RPM cams. Frankly the big split on the 509 seems a bit odd to me - admittedly I am not a Harley cam expert by any means but I'd think such a big split would be crutching a weak exhaust flow, and to my knowledge, the Harley exhaust flow is good?

Anyway, thanks for your thoughts. Do you guys offer a mail order cam package with all you need to install the cams?

Do you also offer the Andrews cam kit? Any thoughts on that? The specs on that cam with a bit more intake duration and less exhaust duration seem good to me.

But I'd trust you experience. I will look on your website for a cam package kit.

I have the 510 gear drives on 99 road king but it has a 95 big bore kit in it works well but if your staying stock scott is right on go 509 or 26.

I ran 510s in my 95" FXD, great cam but not for a touring bike. You would like the 509s, I run them in my 2000 FLHT.

Why is the 510 not good for a Touring bike? The guys at S&S told me it's better than the 509.

Why doesn't S&S know this? They should inform their sales people.
