I'm about to embark on a 107 project for my 12 flhtk,I want to build a stout power plant(115+/115+),I plan on using the highest quality parts I can afford,i'd like for this build to give me 50k+ of trouble free joy, what would be some things for me to take into account to ease my mind,i know things break.i just don't wont to build it on the ragged edge to promote early failures, being as I'm new to the upgrade scene, and have to trust in what a good builder recommends,i like to take nice trips on this bike ,just want some more bite.
is 11.1 high comp. for a tourer?
is 600 plus lift hard on valve train?
thanx tony

You can achieve your 115/115 goal with a 107". You don't need to go with that high of compression to get it. Good flowing heads, good cams and a nice exhaust and of coarse a good dyno tune will get you there. I see you are in Ohio, what part? I highly recommend Roeder Racing in Monroeville (just South of Sandusky) for heads and tuning. I worked there for years before relocating to Virginia and opening up my shop. They have a great reputation, a great dyno tuner and all the machine work is done in house. Well worth a trip. Tell them your goals and they'll get you there.

no need to get that aggressive on your build.115/125 can be had with moderate cams & 10.5-1 compression.

I guess I put those stats there to get a feeling of whats considered high
I am looking at no more than 10.6 for the 2 cams I think I like the best
but the guy who's going to do the heads if he don't think they cut the mustard then I got to bite the bullett

107", S&S .570, good heads, 10.0 cr, will be right in that power neighborhood, with a good exhaust, tuned properly.
Gentle-ramp cam, quiet, cool-running, reliable engine.
