I have a 2005 FXSTI with around 8k miles that I got last fall. Its my first air cooled Harley. I'm trying to decide if I should do any power mods this winter. I think the bike just has Big Shot exhaust. Even the air filter looks stock.
I could maybe throw up to $500 at it this year and I'd probably do the work myself. Is it worth doing any mods or just wait til she has a few more miles and I have more cash?
Ditto what dwfhockey said. It's not very sexy, but for that money, a good tuner is one of the few mods that you'll be able to keep as you fall deeper and deeper into the sickness...
Hmm maybe I will look into a tuner. I noticed the heat shield by the rear cyl is discolored a little. I don't know if any tuning was done when the exhaust was put on. How much money would it take to put this thing in VROD territory?
