If I put a set of 103 heads off of a 2015 motor that are already drilled for compression releases on a motor that is not set up for compression releases, what are my options? The 2015 heads are drilled for compression releases underneath the rocker boxes. Do I have to put either manual or electric set on there that looks like dealer get over $300 for?
As stated before you can plug the holes. However if you buy the hd acr releases @40 each and 1 hd wiring harness@50 thats not quite 300 now is it. I'd put em in.

Ok I see them now. Earlier was looking in Fat Book and they are much more expensive. Thanks for reply. Putting 103 cylinders and heads off a 2015 on my 2009 96ci to go with my cam.
Given the choice I would go for ACRs! Just press and go. I've been using them for several years now and cannot see the point of messing with manual ones.

wait till they fail, which we`ve seen a fair amount do
no need for the harness (or they can be plugged and have the heads machined for MCR`s)
That's what I did; plugged the ACRs and installed MCRs. I don't like adding electrical **** that can fail anywhere, anytime and my carbureted all bore 107 really doesn't like to start under full compression; it does all sorts of nasty things and will pull a battery down in no time at all.
