Cool Deuce motor upgrade

I'm looking at buying an 04 Deuce. It has the 88 ci and about 31,000 on it. I know frome experience that's about the time seals and stuff start going out. I would like to put a bigger motor on it... 103 or at least 96...however I'm not sure if I'd have to modify anything in order to do that?

Thanks for any input!

97 & 98 bore kits are as big as the cylinders/cases/crank/rods will go. Makes good power. Call Scott (Hillside), Kirby (prodrag1320), or Steve at GMR.

Or, at 31k miles, you could just fit up the cam chain tensioners with Cyco shoes, replace lifters, & install Torrington inner cam bearings and call it a day. Rocker cover gaskets, oil pump seals, cam cover gasket will be replaced as part of this job, not that it needs it otherwise.

We were one of the first shops in the country to begin boring to 3.935" back in 2006.
Happy to help.

Ok, here's another question... How hard is it to convert to fuel injection? I'm just wondering if it wouldn't be easier to just swap motors? IDK, just a thought!

Why? A good tuner can easily make a carb perform very, very well. Main benefit of FI is better emissions (who cares) and it can adjust mix for different temps and altitudes on the fly. Do you travel to places with significantly different altitudes often?
