Default cams vs 103 kit

I was wondering what the difference in torque increase in cams vs 103 kit with a 09 fxstc with a/c, slip-ons and tts.

Cams will beat out the cubes alone.

If your thinking about the 103, most stage 2 kits come with cams. My thought would be save a couple hundred more and do both at the same time.

Thanks for the response. I am sorry I wasn't clear in my question. What I really wanted to know was the difference in cams only vs cams and 103". It's a good bit more money and wondered if I should spend the extra for the cubes. Thanks for your help.

The big thing ya get going 103 is compression. That will open up the cam choices and available power boost. Of course having the heads done too will help more...

If you dont mind waiting awhile, keep checking ebay for a big bore kit. Ive been looking for about 3 months or so and ended up getting a se stage 2 big bore w/se255 cams for under 450. Im going to sell the cams and get a set that fits my riding style more. Whatever you end up doing its not going to be enough after awhile.

Jump right past 103" and go to 107". Same cost.

I misunderstood your post at first. If you have not bought anything, i agree with qtrracer. 107 skip 103. Spend a little on the heads and get the right cams for what your looking for. WInning!

Default Bigger is Better......

If there is a choice more cubes is the way to go, then at a later date you can always build on that....
