Mechanical Question
I have a 2005 Sportster with 16,000 miles on it. It has a really bad vibration in after you reach 65 mph when you give it gas. Could a vacuum leak cause this? What else might cause it? Your help is appreciated.

Is the vibration in the suspension or the motor? Suspension, as you give it gas and increase the speed past 65 does it start vibrating, if so, I start rebalancing the front tire, rear tire. loose axle bolts etc. If it's the motor vibrating, at what RPM does it vibrate at? Does it vibrate at the same RPM in the next lower gear at the same RPM? Does the motor rev up smoothly in neutral? Most likely dirty carb jets. Maybe a loose or broken motor mount. I personally never had a bad injector on the newer EFI bikes.
