Set up 2 bikes, one with a kit from Dkcustoms on a Ness backplate, other is the HPI set up to match their hi flow V2 A/C unit and TB. If considering doing similar check these pics and see where I ran the hoses along the frame into the filters. The HPI kit has a cool multiple piece standoff design that works exclusively w their V2 backplate, I did have to add my own T connector to merge the 2 hoses to run one line along the frame and supply my own filter w adapter to connect ( the hoses were smaller than typical). On both I used a nylon braided cable covering I had left over to cover the solo hose running from under the AC where it connects and to the front and along the frame to filter, it matches my front end cable covers and adds better protection of the hose from heat. Think it looks good, and the cool clean air added of course.
Dave,
The tubing looks like silicone, not fuel line. Nice and clean install; no catch can?
Thanks and bingo, good eye. That's 3/16 standard silicone tubing better for high temps and less hardening. No catch can, will see if needed but hopes are the mist will be minimal. I'll run it tad less than max fill oil and flush out the filter now and then.

What did you do to plug the oil drain holes in the Ness backplate?
Don't know what Dave used but some use JB Weld and a variety of similar products. I don't know the size of the drain holes in the Ness plate but the SE plate holes are the right size for tapping and installing a 1/8" pipe plug. The idea of JB weld or something other than a fastener that you know can't come loose and get sucked into the intake makes no sense to me. Check out the current thread title "Gosh Darn Screw Got Inside the Engine"; bad juju.
