Default HTC ported heads...do or dont???Need input Please

Guys
I need some input
I've got an 03 egc with the 95 se upgraded top end
I've got a chance to pick up a bunch of parts from a guy
Parts include a complete set 95 big bore kit, except with a pr of htcc ported heads
I can get everything for about $400
Has about 10k on them, owner upgrade to a 124

Is this a deal?
Would I gain anything by upgrading to the ported heads?
Thanks in advance
Here are some pics
First pic is my motor
The rest are the parts that come with the heads

Helluva' deal if you're looking for more power (and maybe less gas mileage and a little longevity,) but the price is great if the parts are low mileage.

Do you need more power or just can't turn down a great deal? (I've got your Stage II 95" motor and don't use what I've got.)

(BTW, those 204 cams are way weak for what a set of ported heads should run IMO.)

Default parts

Pretty low mileage @10k
Love to have more torque!
Also includes the factory fuEl injection from an 06 street glide with the 30mm injectors

That configuration will give you more of everything (hp and tq,) but it's the correct cam for your riding needs that will deliver the goods. That 204 is a mid range cam torque wise and as I suggested before, not enough cam to utilize those heads ( they can't breath!.) Get a higher lift, lower intake duration cam and it'll pull your arms off.

(On my Stage II, Andrews 26's were enough to make mine come alive.)

You won't get away with spending just $400 if you take that route I predict.

B. SCREAMIN’ EAGLE PRO
TWIN CAM PORTED “HTCC” HEADS**
These heads have been updated with ’06 intake flange geometry, and will accommodate the Screamin’ Eagle Pro 50mm EFI Induction Module. Kit includes revised intake flanges, intake seals and required hardware. This head is for serious performance engine builders, and is the highest-flowing cylinder head vailable from Screamin’ Eagle. This high-flow CNC ported version of our popular “HTCC” head has a 2.0" intake valve, 1.623" exhaust valve, an 84cc combustion chamber volume, and ports designed to produce big horsepower. This head is fitted with valve springs capable of withstanding .650" lift and
revs up to 7,000 RPM. Use with Screamin’ Eagle Intake Manifold P/N 29635-99. Heads are machined to accept Compression Release Kit P/N 32076-04. For race application only. Fits ’99-later Twin Cam models equipped with Big-Bore Cylinders. EFI models require ECM recalibration through applicable calibration cartridge or through EFI Race Tuner Kit. See EFI Race Tuner Kit for fitment or calibration matrix for possible applications.
16925-02B Black Highlighted. $1,399.95
16934-02B Silver Highlighted. $1,299.95

There are two sets of HTCC heads; this is the set you have. IMHO, it is a cheap deal which doesn't necessarily make it a good deal, I would pass. I suspect that if you do buy the parts, they will end up collecting dust and you will be lucky if you can pass them on for $400. There is a reason they are no longer made and there are not that many in circulation and have been OBE'd by better HD heads and advances in the head porting industry. IMHO, you would be better off saving the $400 and spending additional money on cams and head work for your motor. The heads you have only work with the matched pistons and cam selection is limited. If you do go this route, you will need the intake manifold as it is port matched to the heads. Note the comment in the description that "This head is for serious performance engine builders" which, IMHO means high flowing, high range horsepower cam as opposed to the other HTCC heads with an exhaust port smaller than the OEM heads and was built for torque.

Food for thought ....
The set up does come with the matched pistons and intake
It is complete .....I'm actually. Getting ready to look at the stuff in a few minutes. ...

You may never put it together but that Fat Cat exhaust that he included is worth half the price of admission IMO.
(I do think that you'll have a lot more invested by the time you're done than just buying the parts.)
