Right.... your cam corrected compression would be like 8.0:1 Don't know any one that would build that, and why?
I would suspect something going on there....check with the indy that originally built it to get beginning build specs.

Could have been caused by excessive heat or lack of oil on initial start up. How is your pressure? Make sure you change the oil often during break in. I would not be too concerned I had an Evo with the same issue did a cylinder leak down test with decent results. The cylinders looked worse than they actually were. As long as you getting good compression

As already mentioned, hard to determine until dissassembly.
A leakdown test may be of help.
Those bore scopes lead one to believe that you are looking at a boulder, or the Grand Canyon when in reality nothing even close.
We have 2 of those here............best place for them is to stay in the case they came in.
