Default Please help! Lifter question

Last summer I was on a trip when my bike just all of a sudden quit on me. 2007 road glide. 103". Took it to the dealer and they tell me the motor is blown. So I pulled it apart myself and found this. (Picture attached). He bearing on the bottom of the lifter broke off, causing the cam to hit the side of the lifter and tear up the case. So is this a write off or can I still use my case like this?? I mean as long as the chamber Where the lifter slides in is ok it doesn't seem like that damage should matter

Have you found metal shavings anywhere? How did the oil drain plug look?

Ya there was some shavings on the plug. I'm guessing from where the bearing sheared off

I can't imagine those bearing bores, cam support plate, and assorted pieces in there weren't tweaked. Best to have it checked out by a pro.

Assembly could have been cleaned by the time the photos were taken.
