I assume by this remark you're not opposed to this engine on my bike, Breakout, then?
Plus $800 Clutch
Plus $xxx 58mm TB
Plus $980 Black Supertrapp 2:1 Supermeg [and then now a Chrome one, the black one wore through after a while
Finally a real Tune from Lonewolf - The dealer pooped the bed on the tune -- HARSHLY.
20,000 km later it blew up, I believe it was a lifter that cratered. Had it repaired by Lonewolf with T-man 662-2 Cams, Black Ops Lifters, Darkhorse crank, 4.070 [+0.010 os] Pistons and Cylinders. ~$3000
Rode late in the year, base gasket leak [not warmed up fully.] Did the gaskets myself.
Last halloween did a dummy move and fired 'er up with 8 beers down range. Just repairing it now from a head gasket leak and a found rear outer exhaust spring broken.
Upgraded pistons and heads to the T-Man 124R kit.
Truthfully at this point - I wish I'd gone with the 124 S&S and sent the crank away to Darkhorse. Changed the lifters?? And ensure there was a cam that was more suited to higher torque less HP.
Bite the bullet and go 124 IMO. Save if you need to, and wait. the 120R or ST is sub-par and needs quite a bit to make it right.
Oh you could also be that guy and go 143" which would be my next move if I did another motor. There is something to be said for a warranty, but where is the adventure in that?
Best of luck whatever you decide.

Does your shop do a lot of complete engine swaps?
Do you have a performance clutch already?
Do you have an aftermarket exhaust/intake/throttle body/inj/tuner?
