Default Thoughts on my 103 project

Hey guys I am going to toss this up and see what the minds think. I have a 2012 FLHX. Currently the bike has SE AC, Rinehart true duals, PV with FM tune and Woods TW-777 cams I just put in last summer. Bike runs good but is lacking some compression for these cams or so I am told. Like I said I installed the cams last summer and my plan was to do heads this summer. Well summer is about here and I have the $ around for heads now. I am thinking while doing heads I would toss in some 10.5:1 pistons. So what are peoples thought on heads from FM or Hillside, 10.5:1 pistons and TW-777 cams?

If I was changing pistons, id go 107, should not cost much to bore your 103 jugs. Call scott he can probably set you on track.

I have exchanged a few emails with someone from FM. He just keep saying I should do the 107 build instead. I told him thats not what I wanted to do but he keeps pushing it

What is the advantage of the 107 over heads, cams and pistons? There must be something I am not seeing. If I was after big power I would doing a 117 or something

A couple things , 107 you get the compression, 4 cubes, basically a 0 mile top end, no bore on the cases like you need for a 117. Imo you are maximizing bang for buck going 107

My priority right now is heads. Budget wise I can't swing the 107 and heads right now.

Boxxr, you are the one who said "thinking off throwing in some pistons" so at that point it would not make sense to not do the bore.. The only added cost is what the $160 for the bore job.

That's why it's being pushed...... No no-brainer......
