Default Delay when rolling throttle

Hello all. It's been a LONG time since I've posted on here. I've been a member of this Forums since 2006 and last time I posted anything was 2013. Anywho, got a problem with my 2008 Ultra Classic that I need help with. Hopefully, I can explain it well enough. Back in 2008, Mr. Wizard and I (Mr. Wizard did pretty much all of the install :-), installed Andrews 26H cams, SE Push Rods, Black Ops Lifters and Hooker Tuned Flow mufflers on my Ultra. He tuned it using the TTS Mastertune and I haven't had a single issue with my Ultra since then. I'm not saying there is a problem with the tune now by any means because I believe the symptoms I'm having do not point to the tuning. I just wanted to list what was done to my Ultra in hopes that a solution can be found. Here's the issue. While riding for around 35 mins or so and in 6th gear, I roll on the throttle and there is a sputter/hesitation in accelerating. If I pull the clutch in and twist the throttle, still sputters/hesitates. However, if I maintain speed, there is no sputter/hesitation. My check engine light will come on for a few seconds and then go out. I replaced my Fuel Filter Monday and took it for a test ride and after 35 mins or so, problem still there. Today, I went riding and same issue again after 35 mins. I checked diagnostic codes when I got home and found P0118 which is "ET Sensor High". Anyone have ideas on what I should try next to fix my problem? Thanks.

It could be as simple as a bad engine temp sensor to a more complicated wiring issue. A temp sensor PN 32446-99 is only around $38.

Thanks for the reply, msocko3. I've been researching this problem starting with the code P0118 trying to find a solution. Will check out the engine temp sensor. Thanks again. ;-)

Update: Replaced Engine Temperature Sensor, rode about 40 miles with no sputtering whatsoever. :-)
