Was just wondering if someone may varify if code 41 is ckp (crank postion sensor) on a 99 Ultra. Also was wondering if this could be cause for the bike to first stumble and then die when it gets up to a certain temp. Thanks
41 is the CKP sensor. That could be the issue, especially if you have the code with the problems. Another issue might be the engine temp sensor in the front head. The Magnetti Marelli bikes seem to have had more of an issue with this sensor than the Delphi's.
Thanks for the reply, and I do believe the temp sensor is another code. Hoping it's the prob, hate not riding everyday. Chicago hd said I'll have my sensor by Friday...
Now it's throwing code for 11, 12, 41, 42, and 16 was thrown cause when it shut down on me I tried starting it for too long. All I've done since it threw the 16, and 41 was pull the deutch plug apart, spray some break clean in there and let it dry and put it back together. Didn't even start the bike yesterday, but did today caused it will run ok for a few minutes, but it ran like hell today and is very picky on when it starts now. New cks will be here tomorrow, and I got another tps just for the hell of it.

Well, changed the cks and the ets and nothing, plugged in the new TPS and bam, she runs better than she has in a couple of years. ETS I had to change cause of my own doing, there's a right tool and a wrong one. lol I'm a happy camper. Just gotta get the tps dialed in and then get the idle to stop being so sporatic....
