Riding home, old lady on back doing 80-ish mph and something knocked a hole in my oil pan (2000 Fxdwg) and I didn' t know right away.Started hearing my top end getting louder (valve rockers) looked down oil light on! Pulled over immediately, shut it down and watched about half a qt **** out of the front of my pan! Checked level,ZERO!!!!!! Nothing left, not a drop! I never heard rod knock etc,and pulled over immediately when I heard top end clatter. Is my engine ****ed?? Should I just put a new pan on fill her up and see what happens? How tough are these twin cams in a situation like this??

UPDATE... Well, have her back together with a new pan, gasket, and she's full of oil.She sounds, and runs fine!! No click/clack,knock,NADA!! Still have to take her for a long ride to clear my head of all doubt, but I'd say she made it out unscathed! Can I get a HELL YEAH!!?? She didn't let me slide without a fight though. While on a short shake-down ride yesterday after getting her going my gauge console kept cutting in and out.I got her home, and as I suspected the damn voltage regulator took a dump! Replaced that, and a broken tail light bulb, plus a couple fuses due to 18v running thru system when regulator crapped out. NOW... She's done!
