Default Labor Hours

I have a 103 and rebuilding to a 107, with the machine work being sent out to another shop. I was quoted 25 hours for labor, to do the job. Is that reasonable?

25 hours?? Wow! A top end rebuild where i live is roughly 8 hours. Id say it should be anywhere from 8-10 hours. 25 is ridiculous.

crazy stuff like 25 hrs comes from shops that don't do in house work & have to make up more profit from buying parts from other shops, since day one,35+ years ago,we`ve always done everything in house
