Ok, a little info, i have an 05 softail with the FI twin cam 88ci, it has 22k miles on it, ive done the SE cam tensioner upgrade, SE adjustable pushrods, AND the rockout inserts, i have a tap in the front cyl rocker box, sounds like the very front which would be about what? where the rocker are and exhaust pushrod are?
i did the rockout inserts HOPING that would fix it but it didn't, it there from idle on up...not sure what else to do, when i had the rockers out everything "looked" fine, any chance a pushrod can be out of adjustment? i "wanna" say i don't remember hearing it before i had the tensioner upgrade..
please go easy on me, i do MOST of my own work, i do have a manual, but im far from a pro wrench.
any ideas would be AWESOME...thanks!!
the issue is i don't know, a local shop did the SE tensioner kit and the pushrods, im assuming he just set them to whatever the instructions said that came with the SE pushrods.

Set pushrods to .140-150. I had mines initially set to .125 as instructions said, and it tapped away with Woods lifters.

do i have to start them all over, or just ad turns to whats there?
ive never adjusted pushrods before, they didn't give me back the instructions for them when i got the bike back.

I'd start over to be safe and since you don't know what they were set to in the first place. Do a search here and on YouTube for adjusting pushrods. Also did you mean SE pushrods?
I also just did the Rockout inserts but have a little ticking. I checked my exhaust flange bolts and they were loose. I believe they call for 100-120 in. lbs. which I believe is around 8-10 ft. lbs. I set my torque wrench at 8 ft. lbs. and I feel like I'm going to snap the stud off. I think I'm going to look for a better torque wrench.
