Default Twin Cooled cylinder differences?

I have been told that Twin Cooled cylinders are different than air cooled
My 2016 Parts manuals say NOT at least in 2016

But are they different than the older 88/96 jugs other than the bore size?
I have a set of older ones I want to bore out for a 107 on my 16 Limited

Thanks

Cylinders for twin-cooled engines are unchanged since 1999, according to the on-line parts websites. Select your preferred specialist to do the job and give them a call?!

Starting on 2012 models I started seeing cylinders with the extra material at the top machined surface where the twin cooled heads have open passageways. On the 13 models they were on every bagger I pulled down. If you attempt to use an older cylinder on a twin cooled engine you will have a massive coolant leak where there is no material to seal off the passages.

This is a pic of an older style cylinder, this one an S&S bu the same top surface, you can see where the material is not present for the water cooled gasket seal

In this pic you can see where the material is present on a twin cooled cylinder

This is interesting! Doesn't explain why the parts websites show the same cylinder part number. Ii is possibly the latest cylinders will retrofit to older engines, but for the newer ones I would expect a different part number, to deal with the coolant issue.
