Hey guys. I have finally decided to go with the Tire Shredder kit over a FM 107. With that being said, I was wondering how well Woods 777 cams would do with this setup? I had them installed last year and really don't want to swap them again as I will be installing the stage 5 kit myself. Any input on the 777's vs. 259e's that comes with the kit would be appreciated. Thanks

Surely someone here has some experience or at least an informed opinion about this combination......
I would think the 777s will be much better than the 259s, but the 777s will want compression. But i would assume that this Tire Shredder kit may be adding compression.

Hopefully the compression bump with the kit will be enough to make them shine. The kit as is will be 10:2:1. As I understand it, using a .030 Cometic head gasket instead of the supplied .045 head gasket will bump it up to 10:5:1. The only question I now have is which compression do I want with this setup?
well by staying around 10.2 you'll be able to keep your ccp to about 195 psi a little better for today's fuels. 10.5 will put you up to about 200 ccp could create small issues with tuning and timing. I don't think your butt will feel the difference... The biggest difference will be how well the heads flow to compliment the rest of the build....

That's he kind of info I was looking for! Thanks. So you don't think I will notice any difference between the 777's I have already vs. the 259e's either?
Stage 5 has CNC factory heads in kit. The max lift is 585". What is the lift on 777 cams. You might change the valve springs. I did to run GMR 600 cams. On my stage 5.
