S&S vs. HD 110 kit(s)
Is that for the 110 cylinders application of either S&S or HD?
Not speaking for Kirby but cylinders and pistons purchased off the shelf are manufactured to +/- tolerances. If one happens to purchase a set of cylnders that is near the + side of the tolerance, i.e. max bore diameter and a set of pistons that is near the - side of the tolerance, i.e. minimum bore diameter, piston to wall clearance may be out of spec. Not to mention checking the bore for trueness. Always better to have cylinders, used or new, bored/honed to fit pistons which may require ordering .010" or .020" O/S pistons. Only way to guarantee precise piston to cylinder fitment and a true cylinder bore.

pretty much covers it,most HD performance shops offer a 107" kit with cylinders bored to the piston kit,ide look into one of those.a 107" kit will also have much more compression ratio options, allowing for you to build around what you want instead of building around a set compression
