Gaskets came in today and everything is back together. On startup there was some rocker noise that wasn't there before but didn't seem like something to be concerned about. After warm up the old pinging sound in the front rocker came back, but not at loud or sharp. So it got better, but not gone. I can't expect the noise to go all the way away though as lifters induce noise. After it warmed up though (idling) it missed a couple of times. It didn't do that before so I will need to look at the timing and AFRs on the front cylinder to make sure I'm not running lean or sparking too early.
I got the tune adjusted a bit increasing the AFR on the lower RPM & kPa cells to prevent the choking after warm up and decrease the decel pop I was seeing at lower RPMs. Did about 8 or 10 miles in town then hit the highway to crack the throttle a bit. Holy hell! I slowed to an idle in 1st then twisted hard and the bike almost flew from underneath me. I wasn't prepared for that and didn't have the proper position. I should have known better, just in case though. I am really liking the accel on the low end now. It doesn't feel like a wind up toy when I accelerate being sluggish to start and then getting response. Now the throttle seems very responsive through the spectrum. I'll have to wait for it to get warm again to put on a few more miles then change the oil and get a dialed in tune done.
So did the paint on the tank yesterday to finish off this winter build. Also increased the open loop to 14.2 in the cruising areas due to some excess decel popping while cruising and decreased the top end over 80KPa to 12.8 because it seemed a bit sluggish after initial the initial surge on high throttle.
So did 170 miles today with various roll on and shifting patterns to figure out the best adjustments I need to make. I found that my revs only drop by around 1k when I up shift then that my power band moved lower. Getting used to the sound change and getting familiar with my shifting pattern that is much quicker and at lower rpms than previously

Sounds like your having fun... Keep going man... still waiting for mine to return. no big deal though it's still winter here....
