when your driving thru the clutch, its time for a up grade (and to the previous post,if your clutch is easily slipping just with the addition of 255 cams,it isn't adjusted right, wrong fluid or some other problem)
Added a cam (SE255) and I can easily slip the clutch now.
Winter project will be to add a Barnett clutch w/ heavy duty Barnett disk.

I'm going with prodrag on this one...just a 255 cam is not enough to make a properly working stock clutch slip. Something's wrong. Make no mistake, a Barnett clutch is great, but your stocker is not working right.
On my 07 I had the stock clutch for 92000 miles it slipped a few times but on long uphill pulls passing a car after 500 miles on the road that day...just needed adjustments. I did swap with a Barnett set up and it grabs better but my stock clutch looked awesome when I took it out. I was extremely surprised.
This was running a set of Andrews 26H with a Power commander 5. 255 lbs.
Had some head work done, upped comp., and pretty mild Andrews 57's in a 103. Was doing some fairly spirited riding in twist, hilly country and smoked the stock clutch. So badly in fact, I was in 3rd gear to get it back to the house. Wouldn't hold 4th, 5th, or 6th.
Alto Carbonite's and Barnett heavy spring fixed that problem. Then Mueller Power Clutch fixed the heavy spring issue. All good since.
The screamin eagle diagram spring is only like $35 so why not just throw it on with your next oil change. I agree with what has been said about your stock clutch being bad if it's slipping with just a cam upgrade.
I'm running the Barnett with SE spring on a twin cam 88 worked over for about 100hp.
When ever you increase the power of a motor you should always look upgrading the stock setup and with that I'm not saying just by adding a spring for more pressure. The whole clutch assembly will need to be addressed.
With more power and slippage you will create more heat and this heat can warp the steels creating long term affects. If your gonna upgrade because of a 20% increase in horse and torque do the entire clutch. Friction plates, steels and use packages that have a thicker a pressure plate and stronger springs. Less prone to warpage from heat. Yea it'll be a stiffer clutch pull but hey you wanted the power....
