Default Need some help.

Replace head gasket and trying to install heads. But I moved bike and changed cam position from tear down position. How do I install heads and push rods to proper position without taking off cam cover.

You can install the heads no matter what the crank position is.. On pushrods, with the plugs out, get the rear wheel off the ground and place MC in top gear. Using your fingers feel the intake and exhaust lifters on one cylinder.. Rotate the motor by bumping the rear wheel until you get to a point where while one lifter is moving down the other is moving up. When you have a point where they are at about the same height, install the other cylinders pushrods and rocker arms. Then while looking at the rocker arms you just installed find the point where one rocker is closing and the other opening by turning the rear wheel. Assemble the pushrods and rockers on the other cylinder..

Or just use you fingers on the lifters and when both are in the same position at there lowest point of travel, install pushrods and rocker arms and go to the second cylinder and do the same. at the lowest point of travel on both lifters they should be on the base cirlce(both valves closed)

Do one cylinder at a time. When I did mine I started with the front and moved to the rear.

worked out great, rear valve cover was up a little as i tightened it down, but it went down smoothly. Finished and bike started on first hit. Thank you much.
