Default Not so "Good Vibrations"!
I have a 04 ultra with 40K. Starts and runs great. Pull out go a block and when you back off throttle will vibrate like mad, I pull in clutch and coast or come to a stop same. Accelerate clears right up "no I cant just always accelerate". Any ideas?

crankshaft out of aligment maybe? but I am sure someone will come along that knows better than I. Also check the motor mounts!

Can start and run it at any speed all is fine. Until I go down the road then slow down.

Doesn't sound like crank runout to me. I would be looking at drive train and check everything starting with the primary; pulleys, belt, axle bolts, steering head bearings, clutch, swing arm bushings, etc.

Any modifications? Did this just start, like one day all OK but the next not or did the problem develop over time?

Absolutely, Check Primary first....

yeah 04, 40k motor mount probably separated after all those oil changes leaking on to it.
